Mr.Slim is considered a "zone" cooling and heating product. A zone is considered to be any open space in a building typically separated by walls. In many homes a zone can contain one or more rooms. For example, your kitchen/breakfast room, and family room may be shared in one zone. Therefore Mr. Slim can accommodate this space.
Mr. Slim multi-zone systems are available from Mitsubishi Electric to take care of more than one zone from a single system. The MXZ30TN model can supply up to 30,000 BTU/h (or 2-1/2 tons) of cooling and 38,000 Btu/h of heating to three zones. A typical application example may be a three-bedroom ranch style home where two MXZ30TN systems can take care of the entire floor. One system can satisfy the three bedrooms in the back portion of the house while the other system takes care of the kitchen, family room and living room.
